You can see the information from our brochure on our website but if you would like a hard copy, just give us a call and we will be glad to send you one. We have some exciting family news this year! Our son Casey, was married over Christmas vacation to his college sweethheart, Paola. He and Paola met two years ago at Nebraska Wesleyan where she was an exchange student from Mexico studing business administration. She was back in Mexico, living and working, so we all went to Mexico for the wedding on Dec 27th. What a beautiful wedding! We also did some site-seeing and spent time with Paola's family. Casey is in his second year of medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, he and Paola are living in Omaha at the present. Our daughter, Lesley, has a serious boyfriend but no wedding plans yet. Hunter is a Special Forces soldier stationed in North Carolina. He just completed a tour of duty in Afghanistan. Lesley graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University this past May and is now in an Occupational Therapy doctoral program at Creighton University in Omaha. She has three years to go. I guess we will be putting off retiring foe a few more years! Enclosed you will find information on our American Plan trips, Housekeeping trips and Outpost package options. Also included is information concerning a flight packages option from Minneapolis, Denver and most Northwest airlines travel centers. The package includes flights via Northwest Airlines from Denver or Minneapolis to Saskatoon, Saskatoon to LaRonge and the last leg to the lodge. All are round-trip flights. The trips will depart Minneapolis or Denver on a Saturday and return on a Friday. This schedule gives you five full days of great fishing. To save a bit on this package, we also offer the same fishing trip using ground transportation from La Ronge to the lodge and back. This cuts the expense a bit. Thank goodness the price of gas has gone down, That is a plus for clients and lodge owners alike! A complete flight schedule, package information and price sheet is included. Now for a little news from the camp... the ice was a bit late so we had a rough start to the bear hunting season. Once the ice went out, things were back on schedule. The bear hunters had good luck, many colors of bear were taken, cinnamon, blond, brown and of course, black. The fishing was par with the Reindeer reputation, a couple of pike over 50 inches and record trout!! The fall moose season went well and the hunters were done early. Ron had a chance to hunt and sight-see way up toward the north end of the lake. The fishing at Harriot and Kyaska Lakes was unsurpassed for walleye as well as trout and northern. If you like the wilderness solitude, that is the place to be. Propane refrigerators in the cabins keep the food, fish, and beer cold. 15 hp, 4-stroke motors make fishing quiet and easy and satellite phones keep you in touch... (If you want to be)! As always we are looking for good pictures to update our albums. If you have some and could share then with us and other quests, please send us a copy. We would appreciate your help in keeping our albums current. Thank you for your help and past business. We would enjoy having you as our quest again for a great fishing or hunting trip on Reindeer Lake. |
